Ceramic Tea light Holder “Rye”

This tealight holders is hand-thrown and hand-painted in Kate Brigden garden workshop in Sussex. This pattern is called "Rye", it is painted with grey pigment making each one unique. It is made from iron rich stoneware clay, when fired, the iron creates a lovely speckled effect on the surface of the glaze.

Inspiration and Techniques
Kate's patterns are inspired by the changing seasons and her surrounding in Sussex countryside. All her pieces are handmade in stoneware clay, fired in her kiln, glazed and individually hand painted before their final firing, making each creation unique.
