Barra Tote2 December 2024
Heritage to wear, Barra is made by hand from start to finish in Edinburgh, Scotland, its story…
The canvas leather, a timeliness art,
Of Highland spirit, wild and wrought.
In every stitch, tales of ancient lore,
Of wind swept mountains and the ocean’s roar.
The process:
Barra is hand-cut from a single piece of leather hide for strength and durability. Leather is sourced from Bakers Tannery in Devon, England, our last oak bark tannery in the UK, which champions the very best leather and sustainable techniques.
Hand-set rivets supplied by Abbey England’s equestrian foundry, and stitched by hand using a traditional saddle stitch with hand-waxed Barbour linen threads from Northern Ireland. Edges are hand-burnished and the final product is topped off with a nurturing leather treatment. This slow process makes for a beautiful product that will age with patina.
Comes with a cotton canvas dust bag sourced from Wales.
