Designed for a generous 400ml café au lait, this handmade cup feels great in the hand and looks good in any kitchen. The wide rim is ideal for croissant dipping, and the carefully balanced shape took many attempts to perfect. During firing, the silky glaze fuses with the raw clay, giving each cup a unique warm toast of colour.

All the pieces are hand thrown on a kick wheel, small variations in size and shape are part of this hand made process and the glazing is all by hand too so slight variations in tone and colour are a natural result. This adds to the unique character of each lovingly made item.

Inspiration and Techniques
Her practice ranges from kitchen and tableware with subtle, understated glazes to vibrant, playful designs featuring fruit and botanical motifs. She creates a wide variety of functional and decorative ceramics, from dishes, bowls, mugs, and teapots to textured plant pots, candle holders, and sculptural pieces. Each work is rooted in her connection to the Teesdale landscape, blending functionality with a strong sense of texture, form, and individuality.
