Inspiration and Techniques
Fiona’s work is rooted in her background in theatre and visual storytelling, drawing on the energy of performance and the drama of the Cornish landscape. She is endlessly inspired by the ocean, the people around her, and the rhythm of the natural world. Using watercolour and ink, she captures both intimacy and movement, often inventing characters from life and placing them within the landscapes she loves.
She also transforms simple sheets of paper into sculptural botanicals, from delicate miniature plants to bold, oversized displays. This blend of storytelling, observation, and craftsmanship defines her eclectic style—always balancing playfulness with precision, and imagination with detail.
