The Tullagh Pouch is crafted from sustainably sourced oak bark or vegetable tanned leather, produced by Bakers Tannery in Devon, England, the UK’s last oak bark tannery. This leather is known for its durability, rich texture, and ability to develop a stunning patina over time.

Its Story…

Tullagh is my sandy muse, where wind whips through the manes of machair.

A seascape composed of distinct texture, a sculptor’s dream in every weather.

Its untamed beauty inspires a craft, in the form of art and leather.

Each Tullagh is hand-cut from a single piece of leather for strength and longevity. It features hand-set rivets and Sam Browne studs from Abbey England’s equestrian foundry and is stitched by hand using a traditional saddle stitch with hand-waxed Barbour linen threads sourced from Northern Ireland. The edges are meticulously hand-burnished, and the final product is finished with a nurturing leather treatment to enhance its beauty and longevity.

Each Pouch comes with a cotton canvas dust bag, sourced from Wales, to protect and store the bag when not in use. Over time, this handcrafted piece will develop a unique patina, reflecting the care and stories of its owner.

For care, occasional leather treatment is recommended to maintain its quality, and it is best to avoid prolonged exposure to water.
