A handwoven silk damask scarf in warm gold tones, defined by subtle texture rather than bold pattern.

The surface reveals a quiet interplay of light and structure, with tonal variations appearing as the fabric moves. Soft ochre, gold and muted earth tones echo the atmosphere of autumn in Pollock Park, where colour softens and light becomes more diffuse.

Woven using the traditional damask technique, this piece focuses on depth and refinement, allowing the structure of the weave to emerge gently through the surface.

Each scarf is hand-painted to minimise water and dye waste, then woven without electricity. The process is slow and deliberate, giving the material time to develop its character.

Designed and woven in the UK by Helena Powell, this piece reflects a considered approach to making, where simplicity and precision sit side by side.

Dimensions: L 180 × W 21 cm

Care: Hand wash in lukewarm water with a small amount of soap. Iron while damp and hang to dry. A gentle steam will help restore the silk’s natural sheen.
