In stock
A handwoven silk damask scarf in soft blue tones with gentle hints of lilac and warm undertones.
The surface is defined by a subtle tonal pattern that appears and fades with movement, creating a quiet sense of depth rather than a bold visual contrast. The colours shift delicately across the fabric, reminiscent of light reflecting on water or changing skies.
Woven using the traditional damask technique, this piece focuses on texture and structure, allowing the pattern to emerge through the weave itself rather than through strong colour variation.
Each scarf is hand-painted to minimise water and dye waste, then woven without electricity. The process is slow and precise, giving the fabric its refined character and soft drape.
Designed and woven in the UK by Helena Powell, this piece reflects a considered approach to making, where material, process and finish are carefully balanced.
Dimensions: L 180 × W 21 cm
Care: Hand wash in lukewarm water with a small amount of soap. Iron while damp and hang to dry. A gentle steam will help restore the silk’s natural sheen.
