Silk Screen Printing Workshop
£55.00
Thursday 30th April
This hands-on workshop with Jon Mackay introduces the basics of silk screen printing using paper-cut stencils.
Taking place on Thursday 30th April, from 6pm to 8.30/9.00pm, this evening session is designed to be relaxed and practical, making it a great after-work creative workshop. No prior experience in screen printing or drawing is required.
You’ll learn how to design and cut your own stencil, then use it to print onto fabric. During the workshop, you’ll create and print either a tea towel or a fabric tote bag to take home. Jon will provide plenty of visual reference material to work from, or you can adapt and develop one of the designs he brings along.
The focus is on experimentation and learning the process at a steady pace. By the end of the session, you’ll have a finished printed piece and a clear understanding of the fundamentals of stencil-based screen printing.
