STARTING FROM SCRATCH

As this new chapter in the Vigour and Skills journey begins, I wanted to take you back to the start by explaining exactly how this adventure came about.

Our origins

Upon moving to the Cotswolds a couple of years ago with my husband, Clement, founder and co-creator of Vigour and Skills, we found ourselves unexpectedly immersed in a thriving community of local artists, creators and makers. Seemingly each day we would stumble upon another artisan’s studio creating beautiful objects with locally-sourced materials, all on our doorstep, and all bolstered by the unwavering support of the local community. As the months rolled on, the more determined we became to amplify the voices of these creators by filling people’s lives and homes across the country with their designs. 

Our mission

At Vigour and Skills, we’re passionate about championing the talents of these British designers and makers. We’re on a mission to create a platform where considerate customers can shop for beautifully, thoughtfully made objects, shining a spotlight on the intricacies of our makers’ crafts, and giving you a glimpse into the loving creation process. Our behind-the-scenes approach puts a focus on telling the story of each individual artisan, giving you a unique insight into the origin of every piece you purchase.
