Gilly Whittington's ceramic journey began with a three-year City and Guilds course. She set up her first workshop in 1993 and shortly after began teaching evening classes. Two moves later, she was in South West France with a large workshop, two kilns, and space to teach. During the eleven years she lived in France, she exhibited at pottery markets, exhibitions, and also had her work in galleries in the UK. She returned to the UK in 2021 and is now in Oxford, where she has a small studio. Her work is in several galleries, and she exhibits widely at ceramic shows.
