Julianna Cassata (Maragold)
Julianna Cassata founded Maragold Designs in 2019 when the decision to make a career change coincided with the discovery of a leather goods business plan that she had written 7 years prior while studying in Florence, Italy. With this return to her creative roots through Maragold, Julianna found a sense of fulfillment and purpose. She is inspired by her surroundings and a love of travel, and is drawn to the unique stories behind the people, traditions and artisan goods that make a place special. ‘Quality over quantity’ is at the heart of Maragold through an emphasis on functionality, minimal design, the reinterpretation of timeless materials, and intentionally small batch production to limit waste and promote conscious consumption. The Maragold collection includes everyday bags, wallets, purses, pouches and more.
