The Rainbow Serpent is one of the most powerful figures within Aboriginal Dreamtime mythology. She is the creator of the land and all living beings. According to the story, the earth once lay flat and frozen while the Rainbow Serpent slept beneath the surface, carrying all animals within her. When she rose, she shaped mountains, rivers and valleys, brought fire and sunlight, and gave life to all creatures.
She is known as a giver of life, a guardian of the land and a symbol of fertility and renewal. When a rainbow appears in the sky, it is said to be the Rainbow Serpent travelling between waterholes.
This design emerged during meditation retreats attended by the maker over the past decade. Several jewels in the collection have come to her in these gatherings, conceived as symbolic pieces rather than purely decorative objects.
Each amulet is handcrafted in 18ct Fairmined gold and set with 6 rubies, 39 coloured diamonds and 1 CanadaMark white diamond. The piece is made to order in approximately eight weeks in the maker’s London studio.
By choosing Fairmined gold, this piece supports small-scale miners in Colombia. The gold is fully traceable and extracted under strict environmental standards, including responsible waste management and ecosystem restoration.
The maker refers to her jewellery as “Little Gold Prayers”. While working with gold, she sings ancient healing mantras and weaves blessings into each piece. Personal healing intentions can be incorporated on request.
