This vase, crafted from a substantial elm burl, presents a unique aesthetic through its off-centre turning on a traditional wood lathe, mirroring the appearance of an ancient artifact. The vase's natural edge suggests a piece rich in history, akin to an Ancient Egyptian Vase recently unearthed.
The vase’s creation was fuelled by a deep passion for history, evident in its meticulous handcrafting process. Specialised woodturning tools were employed to carefully carve the piece, ensuring it offers varied perspectives and a distinctive look from every angle. The handmade vase stands at a commanding height of 23 inches (58 cm) and a width of 17 inches (43 cm), inviting admiration and curiosity about its origins and the craftsmanship behind it.

Inspiration and Techniques
Jason’s work is inspired by the natural world and the vastness of space, which he captures through his unique use of wood and resin.
