This mug is from Kate's "Barcelona" range, inspired by the free and playful work of Miro and Gaudi. Every mug is hand painted, so each one is a unique. Kate's pottery is handcrafted in her garden studio in Sussex, England.

Mug Size (Approximate) Height 7.5 cm, Diameter at top 9.5cm.
This range is made from iron rich stoneware clay. All Kate’s pottery is food-safe, hard-wearing and suitable for microwaves and dishwashers. Each piece is hand thrown on a pottery wheel and then left to dry a little, the underside is then trimmed and tidied. It is then left to dry out and ready for it’s first firing. Once fired it is then dipped in glaze, the mugs are hand-painted. Then the pottery is then ready for it’s final firing in the kiln.
Each piece is handmade so there may be slight variation in size and colour and there may be very minor imperfections.

    Inspiration and Techniques

    Kate's patterns are inspired by the changing seasons and her surrounding in Sussex countryside. All her pieces are handmade in stoneware clay, fired in her kiln, glazed and individually hand painted before their final firing, making each creation unique.
