Robert draws inspiration from the landscapes he encounters, incorporating materials like granite and wild clay into his ceramics. His process involves adding rocks and clays directly into the clay body, creating unpredictable textures as they emerge through the surface. He also makes glazes from wood ash and natural clays, allowing each piece to tell a story rooted in place and process.
