This large oval platter has a thumb mark and drizzled glaze edges an ideal piece to place at the centre of your dining table. The chalk white glaze has a toasty finish showing brown at the edges. 36cms length 28 cms width and irregular handmade shape.

    Inspiration and Techniques

    HUMBLEYARD is a collaboration between Marion and Scott Stuart. Both fine artists and partners, they have worked together on a Norfolk inspired set of functional wares. Referencing the Norfolk natural landscape surrounding them they make with simplicity and elegance alluding to Japanese aesthetics such as wabi-sabi. From simple drinking cups and other irregular, tactile forms and decoration. Pieces are slab constructed and hand thrown with a painterly approach to glazing, encouraging meditation and contemplation.
