Georgie Tym is a highly skilled leather smith, bag designer, and educator with over a decade of experience in the leather crafting world. Her journey began in school and flourished at the London College of Fashion, where her passion for craftsmanship and design took root. Georgie’s career has spanned prestigious brands such as Nike, Jaguar, M&S, and Cherchbi, where she honed her skills in bag design and development.

In 2016, Georgie realised her dream of sharing her expertise by founding Hands of Tym, a business dedicated to creating luxury handmade leather goods, offering bag-making courses, and selling leather crafting tools. Georgie’s work blends traditional leather craft with sustainability, using materials like Italian vegetable-tanned leather and vegan alternatives. Through Hands of Tym, she offers bespoke design services and repair work, ensuring each piece tells a unique, enduring story.

In addition to her work as a designer, Georgie teaches and mentors budding leather artisans, fostering a community of makers who share her commitment to quality, sustainability, and craftsmanship.
