Kinga Amielucha (Chisel Pottery)
Kinga runs a small ceramics studio in Selsey called Chisel Pottery, where she shares ideas, giggles and biscuits with her students daily. She is also a designer and maker of functional ceramics. Kinga has gained her ceramic experience at Brighton and Portsmouth Universities, whilst studying for her Fine Art degree.
Her inspiration for her work comes from everyday life - Kinga studies everyday objects we tend to take for granted -
like a crumpled paper bag or a coffee bean sack and tries to find her own interpretation of those generic industrial objects in clay. She work with muted, natural tones to complement the earthy colours of clay. Kinga first design and craft each piece by hand and then create a plaster mould to preserve the shape.
