Mark Beverton

Mark Beverton is a furniture maker, engineer, sculptor, and conceptual artist working primarily in wood, although he also incorporates a variety of other materials and found objects. His work is highly sculptural and tactile. Every piece is handcrafted and unique, with many works created as one-off pieces.

He grew up in his father’s workshop, where his father worked as a sculptor and furniture maker. His mother, an artist from Paris, also had a strong influence on his creative development. Over the years, he has designed and built a wide range of objects and structures, including caravans, boats, tables, chairs, kitchens, bookcases, rooftop gardens, bonsai display tables, and various objets d’art.

In 2000, he established his own furniture-making business. He has also worked extensively creating models and props for major film productions, including James Bond, Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Beauty and the Beast, and Mary Poppins Returns, among others. His work has received awards, and his sculptures have been exhibited in the UK and internationally, with pieces exported to clients around the world. Having worked in creative fields for most of his life, he continues to design, make, and create.
