Philippa Taylor (Taylor Black Jewellery)
Philippa Taylor first discovered jewellery making while working in a London advertising agency, drawn to the idea of mastering a tangible skill beyond PowerPoint and strategy. She went on to study jewellery manufacturing at the University of the Arts and the British Jewellery School in Hatton Garden, London’s historic jewellery quarter. From there, she launched her brand, combining her maiden and married names to form Taylor Black Jewellery.
Now based in her Georgian townhouse in the Cotswolds, Philippa designs and handcrafts delicate fine jewellery with a focus on timeless simplicity. She predominantly works with recycled yellow gold and ethically sourced gemstones, including Slate Pyrite from Germany, and continues to evolve her practice in a more sustainable direction. Her designs are intentionally classic, created to transcend passing trends and remain staple pieces in a collection for many years to come.
