Szonja Gibárti (Minta)

Szonja Gibárti has studied textile design at University of Brighton where she specialised in hand weaving. During the Summer of 2020, she bought her first loom, a 16 shaft handloom and founded a brand called Minta, which means ‘pattern’ in Hungarian. Szonja began to weave one of a kind scarves to create a unique feel for its wearer and since she is taking orders for bespoke scarves. With her unique visual language Szonja creates a joyful and special experience, while the premium quality lambswool she uses is not only sustainable, but amongst its many amazing qualities, it regulates body temperature, it’s breathable and water repellent. Now she is focusing on limited edition collections and bespoke, made to order pieces.
