Elm Vase

The elm that this vase is made from has sat in a woodworkers workshop for 40 years gathering dust. As part of my attempts to bring together a collection of items made from Elm – a species almost extinct due to Dutch Elm Disease – I rescued it and turned it into this elegant vase. There is a glass insert in the top which means that the vase can be used to display single stem flowers.  It is 40cm tall.
